Thierry Blondeau

Thierry retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxembourg in 2020.

At the end of his career with PwC Luxembourg, he was asked to take over the role of ethics and Business Conduct Leader and to chair the Ethics and Business Conduct Committee (2015-2020).

He started his career in 1984 at Coopers & Lybrand in Belgium in the audit practice and joined Coopers & Lybrand Luxembourg in 1989. Specialised in asset management, he became a partner in 1994.

Following the merger with Price Waterhouse Luxembourg in 1998, he became the asset management leader (1998-2020) of the combined entity and a member of its Supervisory Board.

As a partner, he held various positions within PwC Luxembourg, being elected 4 times to its Supervisory Board and twice as chairman (2003-2006 and 2012-2015).

He fulfilled other key roles within the Firm such as European Asset Management Regulatory Leader (2002-2004), Luxembourg Regulatory Leader (2000-2004), Audit Leader (2007) and PwC UCITS Global Subject Matter Expert for the whole PwC network (2005-2015).

Thierry graduated as a Management Engineer, specialized in Financial Management, from université Catholique de Louvain and took part in an exchange program with the University of South Carolina, Columbia, USA. He was also a "Réviseur d'Entreprises (1993-2020) and a professor at the Luxembourg University (2016-2020).
